How We Raise Our Puppies at Hillside Haven
Our puppies are raised with great care, beginning with Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI) starting at just 3 days old. We raise them right in our living room, surrounded by everyday household sounds including videos of thunderstorms and fireworks to help build confidence and reduce noise sensitivity as they grow.
Our goal is to raise well-adjusted, confident puppies from our home to yours.

Bentley is a cuddly "sock or slipper carrying" bundle of joy. A true princess for attention. A very smart, kind, and gentle natured girl. Bentley Belle is from Georgia and is truly a Georgia Peach. She resides in her home with the puppies in Waterloo, WI.

McCoy is a gentle greeter. He is a people loving bundle of joy. He shows a very kind caring presence to all. McCoy is a direct descendent from Europe and he is owned by Heroes Gold Retrievers in Illinois.
Here at Hillside Haven Retreat Retrievers, we hold our breeding program to a higher standard than most, and in turn, we expect the same level of commitment from our puppy families. Please be prepared to provide your puppy with the best care possible including high quality food, supplements, and a nurturing environment that allows them to thrive and live a long, healthy life.
Our puppies are known for their blocky heads, broad chests, and exceptional temperaments traits attributed to our English type lines. We breed English type Golden Retrievers with a focus on conformation, health, and temperament.
When you bring home a puppy from Hillside Haven Retrievers, you are welcoming a beautiful, even tempered English Cream Golden Retriever, the result of generations of responsible breeding practices. Our mission is to produce healthy, happy, multipurpose English Cream Golden Retrievers with well-rounded personalities that integrate seamlessly into your home and family.
If you are interested in adding a Hillside Haven Retriever puppy to your family, please complete and submit our Puppy Application. The information you provide helps us determine whether one of our puppies is the right fit for you and your family.
It’s not uncommon for reservations to begin up to a year in advance. All of our puppies are adopted through a reservation system, and we kindly ask that you complete a Puppy Application if you wish to reserve one.
We strive to keep open communication regarding upcoming litters, and you are always welcome to email us for updates. Please note that the more specific your preferences such as sex, or other requests, you may have to wait. Flexibility can often shorten your waiting time.
If you haven’t heard back from us within 48 hours, feel free to call or text 920-988-7055. Please also check your junk or spam folders, as we’ve found that email responses occasionally get misdirected.
We require a $500 non-refundable application fee, payable once your application is approved. This fee will be applied toward the total adoption fee of $3,300 for your new puppy. We look forward to working with you!
Each HHRR puppy comes with:
· AKC limited registration
· Microchip
· Two year health guarantee
· 30 days of free pet insurance
· First age-appropriate vaccination
· A stuffed animal or blanket scented with their mother and littermates
· A full binder of all documents and pictures of our first 8 weeks with your new puppy.
